Might as well have the best

C.C Filson Co – since 1897.
Clinton C. Filson, based in Seattle, used the great Klondike gold rush as an opportunity to provide equipment for the gold-diggers streaming up north. The latter is history, but Filsons are still going strong – in addition to sturdy all-weather and leisure clothing, they also make these bags – which are not only good-looking, but will put up with the roughest treatment. The body is made of extra-dense cotton of heavy industrial quality (weight 623 g/sq.m.).The cloth is soaked in a special wax with paraffin base to make it water-resistant. The tough leather is cut from the strongest cow-hide and naturally tanned to enable it to stand up to hard treatment. The bags are still made in Seattle with American cotton and leather.
